Job Description:

  1. Work closely with development teams to integrate their projects into the production AWS environment and ensure their ongoing support once there.
  2. Gain in-depth application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design.
  3. Be a DevOps champion – work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the development lifecycle.
  4. Dive deep into the software stack to troubleshoot as needed.
  5. Build engineering automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production environment
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations
  7. Build from the ground up reliable infrastructure services in AWS to deliver highly scalable services
  8. Work with a team of peers who are smart, professional, pull their own weight, and share a passion for what they’re creating.

Desired Profile:

  1. Five years of Unix/Linux administration and experience with Windows 2008R2 / 2012
  2. Powerful scripting and automation skills you believe you can automate everything
  3. Substantial knowledge and background working with AWS services (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, SQS, etc
  4. Proficiency with the AWS CLI.
  5. Experience with Infrastructure as Code CloudFormation templates, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
  6. A solid Ops foundation – you’re always thinking What happens if this fails when you build things
  7. Experience working in an iterative based development environment using Agile/SCRUM
  8. Familiarity with build & release automation tools and methodologies like Jenkins
